Day 35: February 8, 2009
For the one or two of you looking at this but not related to me, a bit of background: My cousin Amy, who lives in Hong Kong, is also doing a day-by-day photoblog. Hers, in fact, inspired this one. And since we both started, I have been intrigued by the degree to which such a simple thing can actually enhance and stimulate conversations and connections within our family, especially with the contingent on the other side of the world.
Today, during a family party, we had a conversation with Amy via Skype. She came to us from the future–it was (I believe) 3 a.m. tomorrow in Hong Kong when she logged on–and the whole family gathered around the webcam to chat.
