Day 260: September 24, 2009
Stuck in traffic. My plan to drive up 6A and merge onto 6 right before the Sagamore was less clever than I thought it was dozens of other cars are doing the same thing and the traffic is just inching forward. I glance up into the wooded hill that rises up behind the road. And there is a smiley face, just floating there among the trees, bidding me to think twice about my plan to throttle the guy in the large black truck who won’t let me merge.
Day 259: September 23, 2009
Because of my, um, blogging hiatus, a new number system has gone into effect. The day number now reflects the number of days for which I have pictures — no longer the number of days since the project has started — while the date indicates, well, the date the photo was taken.
Day 258: September 21, 2009
Jesus may save, but he does diddly-squat about easing the traffic jams leading up to the Sagamore Bridge due to the recent construction work.

Day 254: September 15, 2009
The second day of work on the Sagamore Bridge was the first night I had to drive on and off-Cape. I arrived home nearly two hours after I left the office. That night this sign should perhaps have been labelled “Speed Fantasy.”
Day 251: September 12, 2009
What’s the best way to spend a rainy Saturday morning in September? Running a half-marathon, obviously. Or, in my case, drinking coffee and watching your sister run a half-marathon.
