I decided to replace my lion-shaped lamp with a kitty-shaped lamp.

Day 196: July 19, 2009
If only I had remembered the camera when I went to the farmers market. But then, on the other hand, Franklin Whiskers is way cuter than lobsters.

Day 128: May 12, 2009
So this is just easily the best picture I took today. Close-ups of dandelions are boring, as are tasteful black and whites of various objects in my apartment. Mr. Franklin Whiskers, however, will never fail to enchant.
Or maybe I am just a crazy cat lady in training.

Day 105: April 20, 2009
Whenever Pat does laundry, the apartment is festooned for days with enormous shirts, drying in the open air.

Do you ever get the strange feeling that there is something–or someone–lurking just around the corner?

Day 34: February 7, 2009
Today we rearranged the furniture in our apartment. The results were, in no particular order: Lots of dust got my asthma and allergies going something fierce, the living room is now much cozier and Franklin had a swell time exploring the various furniture configurations throughout the evening.

Day 15: January 19, 2009
It snowed yesterday. A lot. And when we got up today, there was far more than the expected three inches accumulated in the driveway. While I was shoveling, however, I noticed that the snow had collected on the trees in an exceptionally beautiful way, so I ran inside, grabbed the camera and started tromping through the snowy yard taking pictures.
As I was doing so, I looked back and saw Pat and Franklin Whiskers watching my progress through the bedroom window and decided to take a picture of them. What I got was this photo of cat and man, unexpectedly layered with reflected images of my hands on the camera, the lettering on my sweatshirt and the snow-covered yard.
Later we took a meandering ride around the Cape, checking out side roads, corners and restaurants we had never before visited. For the more complete photographic documentation of the scenic wonders of the day, click here.

Day 1: January 5, 2009
I am not too proud to admit that my attachment to my cat is, shall we say, strong, and that, in my household, the vast majority of the pictures we take are of Franklin. This picture appeals to me precisely because it is unfocused; the blurriness seems to soften and abstract his shape.
