This little critter and four of his compatriots were hanging out inside a wire age at the farmers market this weekend, on sale for a mere $10. Given their location between the bread vendor and the vegetablemongers, one has to wonder if their destiny is that of coddled pet or something a little less comfortable to think about.

The farmers market in Carver is half market-half charming fair. There are a few vegetable vendors, interspersed among the truck selling sausage sandwiches, the little tractor-pulled train for the kids and, of course, the pony rides.
