If one had to choose the top three adjectives that would most frequently describe my mood and/or attitude, they would probably be “grumpy,” “fretful,” and “misanthropic” (with “hungry” a close fourth). Let it not be thought, however, that I am without joy. Some things that delighted me today:

My coworker’s elation upon discovering that, though the doughnuts were gone, there was still a chocolate chip muffin left.
